About Us
Adaptive Style is focused on the development of advocacy and social enterprises to eliminate internal and external barriers for people with physical disabilities. By internal barriers, we mean the personal, physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual challenges that can prevent someone from living their best life. Through counseling, coaching, wellness workshops etc. we want to empower individuals and their families to overcome these barriers.
Even the most empowered individual will be frustrated when the path to their desires is riddled with obstacles that can be removed with awareness and vision. Our social enterprises will build upon the advocacy work to address these barriers by developing and implementing solutions to common issues such as clothing.
Faith
Leah Howard is a 16-year-old fashion designer and founder of Adaptive Style. At a very young age, Leah was heavily influenced by quilters and others who are masters in the home arts. She began her designing career by making clothes for her dolls. Under the direction of Margaret Garland of Sew Fabulous Sewing School, Leah developed her craft and her modest clothing line, Leah Faith Designs.
Leah Faith Designs presented a spring/summer collection for the young executive woman during Baltimore Fashion Week in 2016. The success of this show led to Brother International featuring Leah in an advertorial. It also led to Leah being invited to show in Runways on Fire during New York Fashion Week spring 2017.
After years of being symptomatic, Leah was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and Lupus. Despite the constant challenges of living with chronic illness, Leah has persevered. Her journey of overcoming these challenges is part of her inspiration in founding Adaptive Style. Leah utilizes her notoriety as a designer to bring awareness about teens with chronic illnesses. Leah hopes that by overcoming her health challenges, she can inspire others to overcome as well.
When she is not designing, Leah is a 12th grade homeschool high school student. Leah is now a dual enrollment student at the Community College of Baltimore County and is majoring in Fine Arts. Leah also enjoys writing (books, songs, movies, stories, etc.), listening to worship music, photography, graphic design, interior design and event planning.
GOVERNANCE & BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Adaptive Style is a nonprofit subsidiary of LTLL Global Ministries, Inc. The mission of LTLL Global Ministries is to serve and empower “the least of these” (Matthew 25:35) and to support and equip nonprofit organizations that are committed to and practice the principles of Christian love.
Adaptive Style maintains their own Board of Directors for governance of the organization. The Board of Directors of LTLL provides oversight and guidance.

SUNSHINE KING
Sunshine King is a survivor of domestic violence. Yet, from the catastrophic incident she endured leading to the creation of the Sunshine Project H.E.L.P {Healing.Educating.Loving.People} and Sunshine Models on Wheels. Both organizations empower women and men through the recovery stages of exiting a domestic violence situation, boost their confidence, self-esteem, and educate the public about the often-hidden issues of domestic violence and disabilities. Sunshine’s diligent work within her community and other states has not gone unnoticed. Since her injury in 2004 she became an advocate of domestic violence, spinal injury, persons with disabilities in fashion and entertainment. In 2017, she was the first African American adult model in a wheelchair to be featured in the Tommy Hilfiger adaptive clothing line campaign. Then in 2018 this remarkable woman became one of the best selling co-authors with the amazing Best Seller Author Kim Coles.
